The only thing I really like about Resco over Total Commander is that Resco can Map Network Drives, and it also has a nicer GUI. However, Total Commander can also see networked computers, you just need to know the computers' names, and I recently have had a lot of trouble getting Resco to map drives. Because Total Commander is free, I would stick with it. You can try the demo version of Resco, and some features work even after it expires, such as System Information. I also dislike the registry viewer included with Resco. There is a free version of regedit made by phm, http://www.phm.lu/products/PocketPC that works nicely. PHM also includes many other utilities and powertoys, even a PocketPC PLUS! that adds some nice functions to the Axim. These are all for free and are great. While you will need to use more space, you can install all these to Built-in Storage or a SD card, and they provide all the functionality that Resco would.

So to make my answer short, go with Total Commander and PHM applications, you save money, and get more than what you would with Resco.
