For X3i users the X30 offers very little or nothing that they don't already have. The only thing that most of us want is the OS upgrade.
For those of us X3i users who don't need bluetooth and are not they type to shell out nearly $400 just to have the latest processor, the X30 is simply a bad investment. It is not that far beyond the X3i. Basically, $400 is too much to pay for something that is little more than an operating system update and a bit of etra processor juice (and how often do you need that with a PDA anyway?).
If Dell were smart they would offer a software upgrade (could be downloadable even) for current X3i users for a nominal fee. It would keep their loyal customers loyal and probably make them more money in the long run as well. All that most of us X3i users want is the OS update; who in their right mind would shell out $400 for the hardware just to get the software?
