Lancie10 - I had the same problem - but you do not need to hard reset - as long as you can access your menu - go to settings - memory - remove the software. that'd work.
it is kinda buggy, but regardless of the full screen issue and the "Lights out" option (completely turns off your device screen, no way to bring it back up) it works like miracles to me. :)
