You might be able to accomplish this by running the built-in windows media player on your PPC, going to Tools>Settings>Buttons>Select Function "Screen Toggle", and then press the button on your Axim that you want to use to turn off the screen. To turn the screen back on just press the power button. After doing this, you should be able to turn the screen off at any time by simply opening Windows Media Player for PPC, and pressing the hardware button you selected. Hope it helps.
