Waiting for my X30 high to arrive (mid June). This is my first experience with a PDA. I'm more comfortable in front of a PC.

The rationale for getting a PDA was to integrate my personal and work related information into one central and portable repository since my personal PC is now in storage.

It seems clear that the apps that come w/ the X30 are at best adequate. Hence the aftermarket for alternative apps and plug-ins(?).

What freeware (I mean real free) apps would the user community recommend for a newbie. I'm planning to do the usual pim stuff, surf the web, occasionally read a book or listen to music.

Also, what commercially available apps would the user community recommend for a newbie.
