don't convert from dvd to mpg to wmv -- that's using lossy compression twice and is unecessary.

rip from dvd to vob files, then use PocketDivXEncoder to encode to a DivX .avi file.

Then use BetaPlayer to play the movies on your PPC.

I just tried it a bit ago and it works great.
