New to PDAs, Axim X5 and WM2003
I've had my Axim X5 for about a week now. I have wiped it out several times now, just trying to get it configured with the right set of apps and nothing else. I've been making good progress and have pretty much gotten what I want to use, but I have a few questions:
1. How do you make the decision where to install your programs? I originally tried installing everything to CF, but some programs hang when you try to run them, or I later read that XYZ program should be installed to the Main memory location. I am looking to optimize my Axim so that I can have the apps I want and still have a sufficient amount of memory available to run them.
2. What is a typical or optimal amount of memory to have free, with no apps running?
3. Any tricks to optimizing memory? I remember in the old days of DOS and Windows 3.x, there were all sorts of programs out there to play tricks with RAM... QEMM, Stacker, etc.
Any help would be provided, or if this should be posted elsewhere, please advise.
Thanks1
