Good point. That is why I was trying to select a different file, but get the error when I activate the "select" menu item. Interesting that the file will sometimes start playing successfully, I just can't change it.
Tonight I tried double clicking the file from file explorer, with Microsoft reader as the associated player. I get an Error: A book file is missing or damaged. I had redownloaded the file to the PPC earlier. Maybe at this point I reset everything, reformat the CF card, and redownload the file through audible player.
Audible customer support keeps pointing back to the CF card or a compatibility problem???
