Would it be of any use to you if I say I haven't run into this in the 1.5 years I've had my Axim X5 Advanced? I mean, sure, I had the standard SD card problem, until SanDisk replaced my card, but never an issue with the four (or is it five, now) different CF cards I've used for file storage. My CF cards have always been rock solid. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.

I am, of course, assuming that you've checked with your application vendors, and that you've made sure that they didn't say that the programs in question had to be installed in main memory.

If it's not ok, then it's not the end. Unless you're dead, then it's the end for you, but what would you care, especially since it's not the end for someone else.
