Using an Axim x30 to Remotely Disable my Ad-hoc Wireless Connection on my PC
I currently have my Axim x30 high in an Ad-hoc connection with a wireless USB Wi-Fi stick on my computer, so I can access the internet on my Axim wirelessly. It's working well so far.
However I have a question. I know that the radiation from these wireless networks isn't really all that dangerous for you, but I'm sure it can't be the healthiest for you either. So here's what I would like to be able to do. I would like to be able to lay in bed and surf the web on my axim while trying to fall asleep. When I get tired, I would like to be able to TURN OFF the Wireless Network that is on my PC in my office (located in another room) without actually getting out of bed :D . I am assuming that there is some way of disabling the wireless network on my PC by simply clicking something right on my Axim x30.
When I originally set up my WiFi Ad-hoc connection, I noticed there is a setting on the Advanced tab in the PC network settings, with a check box that says, "Allow other network users to control or disable this shared Internet connection check box." Is there some way I can use this feature to remotely disable my internet connection on the PC? This way I could sleep without the wireless internet frying my brain all night from the radiation it puts out :rolling:
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
