This first case is simple, the wireless button is being pressed when you put it in the case.
The second case is a little more tricky. The only time I see that is when I perform a hard reset, this involves pressing and holding both the power and soft reset buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds. The chances of this occuring when you have it in your pocket are slim, because the soft reset button requires the stylus to be inserted into the small hole in the back of the unit.
If you have a "Soft reset" button on your Axim Screen, which I do, I guess there is a possibility that pressure is being applied both to the power button and the software "Soft Reset" button on the Axim Screen.
This is really the only way I could see you getting the second message. I may be totally off base here, its just a thought based on my experience.
