I have an Ambicom CF wifi card, and it is acting strangely. I am within the range of an access point, and the green light goes solid. However, i cannot access the internet, connect to aim, or anyhting. Using the utility that came with the card, i can see the signal strength, name of the server and everything. It just wont connect to anything. No errors messages, no nothing. I am close enough to the access point, like 20ft away. I have heard something about it being my connection settings, so i set them all to work, and modified it so that it says this connection connects to the internet. Still wont work. I have tried soft resets, unplugging the card, messing with the settings, and it still wont work!
