Here is a topic that has been touched upon in a number of threads but I wanted to try and get a feel for real world experience from all you Power Users out there.

I have the 400mhz 64 MB model of the Axim and love the fact that I have the option of using a CF card or SD card to store MP3's, Pic's, Movies and install applications.

My question to you guys is about installing apps to the SD or CF card as opposed to main memory. With the vast amount of fairly large size memory cards out there (128, 256 512 MB and larger) I would prefer to install most, if not all of the applications I plan to accumulate, to a SD or CF card instead of bogging down my main memory and limiting the amount of mem I can allocate to Program Memory to keep my applications running smoothly.

Now I am aware that you can install just about any app to a storage card but not all work well if you do and in some cases slow down the PPC or cause the application itself to perform poorly.

In my experience I know that my PIM - Pocket Informant works best when installed to main memory because, among other reasons, it maps itself to the quick launch buttons on the face of the Axim and when installed to a CF or SD card and power is not supplied to that card there is a delay in turning on the PPC when doing so from one of those buttons.
E-Wallet on the other hand works just fine when installing to a CF or SD card.
Does anyone else out there have recommendations for which apps can be installed, and work well on a storage card and which should be installed to main memory and the reason why if known.
I want to try and get a sense of the best way to proceed before I start loading up my SD and CF card with apps only to find out they work best in main mem, or installing to main memory and then find out they work just as well off removable memory.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
