Sync prob: USB->LDAP, WiFi->no connection
I have an X30 mid, WinXP, Netgear wireless router/hub, no WEP, Symantec anti-virus and free version of ZoneAlarm firewall.
I can sync with the USB cable (btw ended up with 2 because of Dells shipping errors) but get a Microsoft LDAP Directory window pop up three or four times. It won't continue to sync until I OK the window. This window has four lines: Server name: NULL, Port: 3268, User name: Brad (can change this field), and Password: <blank> (can also change this field). I just OK and it continues to sync no problem but it's annoying.
My second problem is syncing over wifi. I can connect and surf no problems. I followed the posting from IkeHiker about how to set it up. I disabled both the firewall and anti-virus, checked the Netbios....was checked. I unplug the axim from the usb cable, wifi has an excellent connection. I tap sync on the activesync on the axim, it spins for a second they says no connection. Anyone know what I'm missing?
Thanks for any help.
Oh yea, I also downloaded a video last night from one of the pocket video sites. It plays on my computer fine and shows up in my file explorer but when I click on it I get a 'file or one of it's components not found' type error. I deleted it and synced again but same thing.
Brad.
