Hi,
yes - for a "normal" ROM update the IMG file is unpacked. But once you perfom the update, the windows software installs an unpacked version of the IMG to the pocketpc's temp folder, and then runs the "system update.exe".
The files are:
24MAPPS.nb0 (1792KB)
24MCONSUMER.nb0 (3074KB)
BROWSING.nb0 (2816KB)
COREAPPS.nb0 (3584KB)
KERNEL.nb0 (2560KB)
MISC_1.nb0 (2048KB)
MISC_2.nb0 (2048KB)
MISC_3.nb0 (2048KB)
MISC_4.nb0 (512KB)
OS.nb0 (2816KB)
SHELL.nb0 (2048KB)
SYNC.nb0 (1024KB)
If I get all the unpacked files, I simply need to copy them to the temp folder on the X5 and then run the updater from a CF card.
I have been trying the bootloader procedure 1002820 times and the rubber at the reset switch is almost perforated - no success. It always boots into the blue Dell screen.
