Yep, tried that as well. Still no joy. At this point, I'm thinking that either A) the USB ports are bad in this PC, or B) this X5 that worked fine for over a year is having some sort of problem.
I'll report back if I find anything out. I can't be the only sucker that ran into this problem :)
