No PIE updates but there are alternatives that may help. A registry hack in RegKing will allow PIE to mimic IE 6.0 which will allow you to access some secure sites. Alternatively, NetFront (payware) is a browser alternative to PIE which also allows some secure sites to be loaded.
I will say that neither of these worked for my bank but I ultimately decided accessing my bank over wireless, especially when I'm travelling and the access will not be encrypted, is a bad idea, anyway.
