If by 'colors' you mean the 'labels' in Outlook 2003, I don't think they get transferred to the Axim at all.
That's actually one of the things that really bugs me. I really wish Microsoft would hurry up and add some of the Outlook 2003 stuff to PocketPC. Actually there are a LOT of useful Outlook features missing that need to be added. "Flag for review", anyone? Bah. Microsoft just doesn't care, I think.
