EDIT: ah yes and i almost forgot, in ad-aware, i run custom scans, and scan everything, even the stuff it normally leaves out, so my scans usually take a while. And i just got a new reference file today, so if you use it i would check for updates

by the way, i did my test twice in adaware, once with a smart scan and once with a total system scan
it still left out some stuff so i think for sure you should run both,
i tried it on another pc and adaware got 30 objects ( i usual run adaware about 1 time a week on this machine and untill now thats all i did)
then, i tried search and destroy, i took off another 280 OBJECTS WOW!!!!
but then, search and destroy missed some on my machine that adaware picked up, so you really have to use both:) ;)
