I have generally found that if an app does not include its own install or setup routine, that it is easier to unzip or otherwise prepare the file(s) on the desktop PC first, then transfer them to the Axim in one of two ways (depending on where they go). The easiest way and most common for files like eBooks or other data files that some app will read is to place them into the "PPC My Documents" folder on the desktop and then simply sync up. That will automatically transfer the files to the "My Documents" folder on the Axim and do any conversion that may be necessary at the same time. The second way of transferring is to establish an ActiveSync connection and then click on "Explore" on the toolbar in ActiveSync on the desktop. Enable the folders view if needed and then copy and paste the file(s) into the appropriate location on the Axim. You can also manually create shortcuts and place them into the start menu on the Axim this well as well.

Bottom line - unzip, format, or otherwise prepare the file(s) first on the desktop and then transfer them to the Axim with no further action required to make them ready to use.
