Except that in the PPC world, the next upgrade is the next PPC, ie. the device itself, not just some software.
I think Dell thinks that if an upgrade is released, many people will just buy it and keep their old Axims for 1-2 more years. But if an upgrade is not released, they will hurry to buy a new PPC just to get the benefits of a new OS. Now an upgrade could be sold for $30, a new PPC could be sold for $300, which one will Dell choose?
