I also "updated" my media player. The hard reset definetely fixed my problem. I found the Blue Dell disk to be of little help as it just points you to a link for media player and it is the old version 7.1. The Hard reset wasn't as bad as what I thought it would be. I just copied all of my data back in from my desktop copy of my documents and after loading a few programs was back up and running.
