What version of Office did you already have installed? I'm a bit curious to why you had to install Outlook, generally the Office Installation installs Outlook, either if you purchased the software for you PC or it came bundled with your PC when it was purchased. Office is very touchy when you install things it already has.
Also, check your "Startup" folder and see if there is some sort of Office script in there. If it is, move it out of the folder and reboot and see if it still does it with it out of that folder.
