I agree that a PDA is not for life. But buying a new one every few months sounds stupid. I think a PDA should serve at least 2-3 years. There is technical progress but it's not so fast as to justify buying a new PDA every six months or every year. And whether you think PDAs are cheap depends on your income level. They are cheap for some people, not so cheap for some others. I don't think we should think of a PDA like a disposable camera or something.
