Well, it doesn't seem to be happening anymore so perhaps I was not actually turning off the WiFi I do know that it'll stay on even when you turn the "Power" button off. Fact is, that's not actually the power button, just the screen power button. This implementation actually makes sense, so that e-mails and instant messages can keep on arriving.
