Personally I want what you dont want, which is a VGA screen. Other than that I am very satisfied with my X30 High. The little foldable keyboard is great! And I mention that because you said for taking notes, and I am a college student so I know how that goes. But you can't use landscape with a keyboard since it plugs in the bottom
. Most Pocket PCs can handle MP3s, iPaqs, Axims... now it seems like very few would have problems with it. My X30 works good with MP3s. If you don't need it right away you might want to wait, especially since I just read in a magazine that Intel is already working on ANOTHER new processor for release in Janurary. But the 624 MHz Intel PXA270 is the fastest on the market for PPCs right now. Also keep in mind that the 312 MHz PXA270 runs faster than the 400 MHz PXA 255 (found in the last generation of iPaqs, Axim X5/X3(i)). I think your only gripe would be no CF slot and the screen might be a little small for your tastes (3.5").
