File structure sir.... file MUST be in correct folder

Ok I will take a stab at the answer... I am listening to a Talking Heads tune right now (don't go there! :) ) that has been saved to the SD card... The trick is you must respect the Windows CE file structure and naming conventions to get the tunes (or any OTHER file) to recognize.

1. Make sure you have created an appropriate file on your removable storeage device - THE ONLY FOLDER YOUR PLAYER WILL BE ABLE TO LOCATE FILES IN WILL BE ONE ENTITLED "MY DOCUMENTS" So you will need to create such a folder ON THE REMOVEABLE MEDIA; or if you like be certain to ONLY STORE YOUR TUNES WITHIN THE FOLDER NAMED "MY DOCUMENTS" in the RAM of your Pocket PC.

2. Select a tune with a recognized file type. Recognized music types obviously include Windows Media Audio (WMA) files and MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer - 3) files.

3. Drag and Drop your selected tune FROM the connected computer TO the "MY DOCUMENTS" folder on your device using the Active Synch EXPLORER function.

4. Once loaded; ON YOUR POCKET PC - select the WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER from within the [Start] [Programs] [Windows Media Player]

5. YOu will need to add the tune to your PLAYLIST.

6. To do THAT - at the bottom of your screen, tap [SELECT]

7. At the TOP of the screen tap and select [LOCAL CONTENT] At this point you will see the tuine(s) you just loaded.

8. Select the tune you want to play. [TAP and HOLD] a MENU will appear that gives you the options to: [Play selection][Move Earlier][Move later][Delete]

9. Select [Play Selection]

10. MEDIA Player fires and your tune starts to play...

Enjoy!

David
