Thanks MW for your help. I cleared out the entries in my calendar and my contacts. I loaded ActiveSync 3.6 and reloaded the most recent Avantgo software.

When I synced with my Axim, the new ActiveSync 3.6 and Avantgo software loaded and everything synced properly. Then at the end, the ActiveSync asked about the duplicate entries in my Outlook and gave me an option to delete them. It deleted all the duplicate entries and re-synced the calendar.

Everything looks right now. Thanks for your recommendations.
