I used one yesterday to get rid of a file that wouldn't allow me to delete it, even after reboot. Kept saying it was in use. So I copied it, pasted it into another folder, opened it with the Hex, deleted all the values, saved it, pasted it back in to the original folder... "do you want to replace?" ... DUH... so yeah, it was nice.
Other than that, dunno =)
