Do x30s have noisy "buzzing/humming" screens? + other questions

I'm kind of looking for another new PDA, now that Sony's pulled out of the market. The LCDs on all of PalmOne's mid and high end models make HORRIBLE loud buzzing sounds. I thought maybe the Zire 72 had this problem fixed, but people are starting to complain about them too. Makes them completly worthless for reading ebooks (and irritating just to use in short bursts as for PIM stuff).

Just wondering if Dell's PDAs have had the same problem or not.

(Note, this isn't the normal slight buzzing sound you can hear from any LCD if you stick your head next to it, this is a VERY loud, VERY obnoxious humming sound that can easily be heard when holding the PDA at arm's length.)

While I'm asking, is 32MB enough in a Windows CE device? When paired with a large expansion card it's good enough in a PalmOS model. I'd be doing normal PIM stuff, using Pocket Word and Excel, listening to music and watching video (obviously from an expansion card), and POSSIBLY running a few games.

Last question...how good do recordings made from the x30's internal microphone sound? I need to record some stuff off of my answering machine, but if I do it on my computer, I have background hum. Not sure if the x30 would have good enough sound quality (although I saw in an iPaq that the OS includes lots of high quality settings, which is a good thing).
