Before, it would sync then disconnect saying there was a backup corupt. Do a full backup next time you sync. I tried disabling backup for the moment but then you had to be connected to your device. So I uninstalled ActiveSync and reinstalled. I'm not getting an error. It connects breifly, then says disconnecting. All it says is a sychronozation error.
