I was just talking w/ someone about this today. We were discussing Dell not offering the upgrade for X3/5 users. I mentioned that I'm grateful to have WM 2003 based on all the app. incompatibilities w/ SE. I find it unfortunate that the devs can't get their apps up to speed in timely manner, but SE must have core components that make it more difficult to code for SE compatibility. Really, what good is it if you purchased numerous apps for the PPC 2002/WM 2003 platform, only to discover that they don't work under SE? Sure, anytime you buy an app, you run the risk of it not being compatible with the next great OS, but this is not major "NEW" OS, its a second edition, an intermediate upgrade. Another concern is the # of apps that claim to be compatible w/ SE, and are not. Battery Pack and SPB Plus are 2 that come to mind. Although both claimntht their products are now compatible, they indeed are not.
In closing, I understand the frustration you SE users must be going through, and I hope all devs ar successful at coding their apps for complete SE compatibility.
