I would suggest that when you exit out of the cradle, you also need to close down active sync...either with a task manager like Zap or the one provide by Dell, Switcher Bar, or a free ware one like Pocket Nav. Active sync, when the Dell is taken out of the cradle, does not automatically shut down. That has led some to think that when you turn your Axim off, that programis still running, and "may be turning your Axim back on" after awhile.
I don't know this first hand, but have heard it a lot...
