Help with a Shoutcast streaming problem?
Hi, folks. I'm running a Shoutcast server on my home PC so that I can listen to my MP3s on campus. I've forwarded the appropriate ports from my router and friends are able to get the stream on their desktops at bitrates as high as 128 kbps. However, even at 48 or 32 kbps, my Axim can never play the stream. I'm using GSPlayer, and it usually just gives up while buffering. When it does connect, it only plays for a second or two and then drops.
This is an Axim X30 High, with the processor set to max. The WiFi connection is good/excellent according to the display. Has anyone else had a similar problem or found settings for Shoutcast/GSPlayer that seem optimal? Thanks in advance.
