ok folks--exactly right there why I don't use iTunes, Napster, Wal-Mart downloads...any of them--they're all worthless.
Best bet for music, in my opinion is to get cd's through the BMG Music Service. You'll get 12 cd's and pay (all costs/everything) around $50...as soon as you complete your membership, close it and sign up again. THEN you can get TRUE cd quality, of which you can rip to unprotected mp3's at 320kbs for MAX quality and never have to worry about this stupid DRM stuff.
I DO NOT use any peer-to-peer software, and I don't share my music; I don't burn cd's for friends, but what I own, I own...and I'll use it however I want to. DRM limits that substantially...it limits the music quality (because most of these sites give you 128kbs quality music which is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO CD QUALITY and they limit the amt. of transfers you can have.
I'm not buying it! I don't want Sony's Atrac's, Apple's AAC or Lossless, or Windows WMA files...they're all a scam I think!

ps: keep mp3 alive--print the t-shirt ...i probably wouldn't wear it, but for nostalgia's sake
