What may have happened is that the app that opened the files wasn't closed. Remember, the X in the upper right corner doesn't close the app, it only pushes it into the background. As a result, any file the app has open is held open. You cannot delete open files. A soft reset closes all apps and releases the lock on the open files. It's not a bug, it's how it operates. Get an app to close things fully (SwitcherBar, IcBar, WisBar, etc) and use it to close the app and the problem will be eliminated. You can also go to Settings/memory/Running programs and kill the apps from there.
