I just purchased my Axim X5. I will be using it in my farming operation for filed scouting and record keeping. May also use as a rate controller with GPS tied in. I am thinking my best route would be to purchase a Garmin with WAAS for accuracy. I would also require an external antenna. This would allow me to also use the GPS with my laptop. Am I headed the right direction? I know I will be dealing with a cable but think this will be better than CF for versatility. Do most Garmin's support external antenna's?
