HandySwitcher "Close" button question/recommendation...
Hello,
HS is a significant improvement over the Dell switcher app, however I am having some trouble with HS coexisting with SPB Pocket Plus. Pre-HS I had my SPB PP set so that my Close button closed an app on tap, and on tap and hold it would "show menu". Since installing HandySwitcher, even with the HS option set to "close on tap" and SPB set to "close on tap", the SPB "show menu" option does not work correctly much of the time. When it does, when I have tapped and held the close button, it closes whatever app I am using, shows a red and then blue "action" circle, then the menu shows. Prior to installing HandySwitcher I the current app would not close, a blue action graphic showed only, and the menu immediately popped up.
Hard to explain, but if you've used PocketPlus you probably know what I'm talking about. I have soft reset. Does nothing to improve. If I do not run HS at startup the SPB PP Close functionality works perfectly. I do prefer the SPB Close functionality over HS, especially since I have added Suspend and Brightness controls to the SPB Close menu.
I've tried multiple combos of the close/minimize options between HS and SPB, and no luck. It seems that since both apps are attempting to modify the Close button behavior they are conflicting. Unless there is something I am mission about the configuration of either of these two applications, would it be possible to enhance HandySwitcher to include a third option for the "Close" button, basically a "do nothing" or leave Close at current settings option. Something that would tell HS not to do anything to the Close button if another piece of software is already providing this fucntionality.
Thanks for your help or feedback.
Jim
