Osiris - Once I got the wireless network card working in my Axim, I can connect to my network in my office via wireless. I enabled the "Remote Desktop" feature in WinXp. Right-click on MyComputer and select Properties. Then click on the "Remote" tab and check the box for Remote Desktop. This enables the feature on your desktop PC. Once you have done that, simply lauch Terminal Services on the Axim and enter the machine name of the desktop PC you want to take control of. The Axim will connect to the desktop PC over the wireless network and take control of it. The desktop PC's screen will go blank and be displayed on the Axim screen. The Terminal Services client on the Axim has a good scroll feature to allow you to see all parts of the desktop screen (since it is bigger) or you can check the option to scale the screen to fit on the Axim's display. Once you disconnect on the Axim (close the Terminal Services app) you will once again have control on the desktop PC. You can't control the desktop from both devices at the same time.
Remember, any apps you run on the desktop PC via remote control are actually running in the desktop PC's memory space and via that PC's connections (lan, internet, etc). So if you launch the browser or try to print something on the desktop PC via the remote control you do not have to be concerned about ram, network connections, printer connections, etc on the Axim. It is great to simply transfer a Word doc from the Axim to the desktop PC and then, using remote control, send it to the network printer in the conference room while in the middle of a meeting. Or accessing a web site that will not run properly with the PocketPC browser but works fine when accessed from my desktop PC via remote control from my Axim.
