Thats my setup right now, and I havent had any real problems at all. You just have to SHARE to current internet connection on the XP machine, and use something like a USB wifi adapter. I got one free (after rebate) from Syntax. Once set up, let your Axim discover the AdHoc network. You dont have to do anything but type in the WEP key (if you have one setup), and then give it a minute or two to assign an IP address. Done!
