Consider the fact that a PPC, including the x50 is not made for the purpose of being a dedicated MP3 player. Media capability is just one of the many nice features built into a PPC. Most people are buying a PPC for the many functions it provides....not just the pim's....not just for game play....not just for word processing....not just for media....etc., but all the above. There are many MP3 players out there with a capacity of no more than 250mb for well over $100.00 and people are buying them like hotcakes. With a 1gb SD card which is well under $100.00 you can fit 4x the songs on the PPC, and with a 2gb CF card for around $100.00 you could fit 8x the songs. Using one or the other still leaves one of the cards dedicated to files and or programs. With wi-fi there is also the ability to stream music from your desktop pc to your ppc from any hotspot over the internet.
So don't forget when you are cutting the PPC short for it's capacity for media storage as compared to a hard drive based MP3 player....you are not comparing apples to apples. The PPC is so much more than just an MP3 player.
