A restore generally doesn't
erase things... it will install what isn't there and over-write what is. Regardless, a backup is worth doing as a 'just in case' preventative measure... with no backup the data is gone for sure, with a backup it's there if needed, and should restore cleanly. It's a whole lot more convenient to have a backup that you can't use than to be wishing you had one when you don't! :approve:
