I've seen three or four different map software packages and I'm wondering if any of you fine people have used/seen any of them in action. I don't have a GPS unit, nor do I really plan on getting one. I would like to enter a TO and a FROM point and just get some directions and a map overview.
Additionally, I'd prefer to have all the maps on an SD card as opposed to having the CD-ROM in my desktop and downloading a particular city's map before heading out on a new adventure.
The software I've seen is the Rand McNally STREETS and they have another package called ATLAS.
I've also seen another package by MDM software...I don't remember the name of that particular one.
And of course, Microsoft has their brand.
