I suspect you may still have removed the screen protector's film covering and the screen protector is still there but with an air pocket under it. Just a hunch but it certainly sounds feasible. You can try to see if you have a protector on there by using a 10X loupe and looking carefully in one of the corners of your screen... see a corner or an adge you can get hold of? Just a thought or a suggestion. This might help. Good luck.
