Do you have any problems with hardware issues such as d-pad, etc? This can be grounds to send it back. I am not at all suggesting you be dishonest but the d-pad is definately a reason to send it back. Correct me if I am wrong but you didn't have dust under the screen itself but between the screen protector and outside of the screen.
