A good pumpkin pie, ie. really dark, earthy, with sunflower seeds in the crust, is like a whole meal in one wedge. Meaty with some carbs, lots of great minerals and vitamins, and desserty to boot! Just had some amazing pumpkin pie yesterday at a pie-makin' coffee shop. Reminded me, as does this thread - thanks a bunch! - to get busy baking some for my family. I'll be 43 on Sunday, and I see lots of candles in a nice big pumpkin pie.... mmmmmm......
