What's wrong with doing your own thing and not doing "like everyone else"? There's more than one way to do something. Some people use Linux (not me) or Macs (boo again) instead of Windows XP (yeah) "like everyone else".
I didn't set out to copy a DVD. I just wanted to watch the Sanyo DVD player on the computer (long story). I just tried googling "DVD copying" and found out that the picture is only distorted if you copy to a vcr, not to the svideo inputs of your computer. The copy protection needs the AGR (automatic gain control) chip of a vcr to function.
So here's an alternative way to copy a Hollywood DVD to your axim. This might appeal to someone who doesn't want to download any "DVD ripper" programs from unknown sources.
