Have you tried setting up a skin for ubook? I have played around to get a combination of readable text, minimal toolbar, and maximum readable lines on the screen, and am very happy with the result. I no longer have toolbars at top and bottom, and get about 22 lines of useful reading per page.

I've played around the settings, especially the font settings, quite bit and had them set for my X5. When I got the X50v last week, I transferred over the same settings. They looked awful on the VGA screen. Since it's capable of much better resolution than the X5 (and X3 and X30) screen, I've played some more. I've gotten somewhat better results, but certainly nothing near what the new screen is capable of.
It probably will just be a while until uBook is updated for VGA, as there have been a million updates in the past. I did write to gowerpoint.com to see when (if) he plans to support VGA.
