Mad Delay with no end in sight ..... grrrr

Sorry about the double post ... my bad !

My Axim X50V was supposed to be delivered today (overnight shipping) but it did not ship out last night. They told me (customer service) that it was going out yesterday when I called but it did not. Called them today and they do not even have an ETA of when it may ship .... this is getting ridiculous my last 4 orders from Dell have been like this. I never even got a delay notice yet and was supposed to have it in hand today. :realmad:
The customer service supervisors that I talked to were as helpful as a bag of cement while stranded in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight. They would only give the "we wil call you backk in 24 hours" which they have never done as of yet on the previous times. Having only dealt with Dell since May I am curious are they always as careless and inconsiderate to their customers? I took the day off work to receive the package which never arrived costing me $300 in wages and will have to do it again ... adding $600 minimum to the cost of the handheld but does Dell care enough to inform of a delay? NO !


Sorry for ranting but I just had to rant somewhere. I hope all of you that got your Axims recently realize how lucky you are since those of us on the waiting list wonder if we will ever see one of our own. With no time frame I may end up canceling the order and moving my purchases to HP who at least seems to get their products out to the customers at least.

As a side note anyone suggest any good PocketPC programming books? I am moving from the palm (maybe) and want to get started for the fun of it, at least I can play with the simulators if not the actual Axim.
