i'm in the process of deciding which vga pda to get, axim x50v or hx4700.
Considering this is a axim site, i can guess which one will be recommended :)

However, I need it sold to me. How about the performance of the axim, i hear some peeps has had slow screen re-drawing? Is this common? or is it their settings. The performance is not great, slower than hx4700 and axim 30. Is this the pda itself or the software not taking full advantage of certain features?

I've also heard some peeps has had flickering of the screen. How common is this?

I currently have the HP4150, which is a great pda, which has more of less everything. But i feel i need something with a slightly larger and better screen.

The RAM is the same as my 4150. Can i install some apps in the ROM? I use to have the same thing on my Palm and use this utility to install apps in the ROM. Is there something similar on PPC?
